چکیده

1. Photon correlation in nonlinear optical processes was first investigated for parametric scattering of light in a x (2) medium, where a photon is split into a pair of photons. Many consequences of this phenomenon in both parametric scattering and parametric generation of light in a cavity are now known. Among the consequences in quantum optics we mention the generation of squeezed light and the suppression of quantum fluctuations in the difference of the intensities of two correlated modes of a radiation field.

A unified description of sum frequency generation, parametric down conversion and two-photon fluorescence.

A superoperator non-equilibrium Green's function formalism is presented for computing nonlinear optical processes involving any combination of classical and quantum optical modes. Closed correlation-function expressions based on superoperator time-ordering are derived for the combined effects of causal response and non-causal spontaneous fluctuations. Coherent three wave mixing (sum frequency g...

Three-photon states in nonlinear crystal superlattices

It has been a longstanding goal in quantum optics to realize controllable sources generating joint multiphoton states, particularly photon triplet with arbitrary spectral characteristics. We demonstrate that such sources can be realized via cascaded parametric down-conversion (PDC) in superlattice structures of nonlinear and linear segments. We consider a scheme that involves two parametric pro...

The Impact of the Spectral Filter Bandwidth on the Spectral Entanglement and Indistinguishability of Photon Pairs of SPDC Process

In this paper, we have investigated the dependence of the spectral entanglement and indistinguishability of photon pairs produced by the spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) procedure on the bandwidth of spectral filters used in the detection setup. The SPDC is a three-wave mixing process which occurs in a nonlinear crystal and generates entangled photon pairs and utilizes as one of th...

Quantum Intensity Noise Correlation in a Type - II Phase Matched Optical Parametric Oscillator

A type-II phase matched optical parametric oscillator is investigated for the generation of intensity correlated twin photon beams using potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) as a nonlinear medium. The input pump source is a Kr'-ion laser at XP = 531nm with signal and idler twin photon beams at X,, = 1.06gm. Mirror and crystal losses were characterized for use in cavities of two-and three-piece con...

Second Generation IMO Intact Stability Vulnerability Criteria and its Application to ships Navigating in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea

Second generation intact stability criteria for few past years had been under development by International Maritime Organization (IMO). Since the draft proposed amendments shall be amended to International code on Intact Stability (IS code 2008), new regulations shall enter into force for ships of length more than 24 meter. Generally second generation intact stability criteria (SGISC) refers to...
